Brit's Best of Fall Masterlist: Music, Movies, Smells, Recipes, Beauty
I’m pretty sure I’ve never tried to hide the fact that I believe fall is the superior season. So much so, that I’ve always said my “new year” starts in September. The air just smells different. The way the light hits things is different. The world changes color for no good reason but to be beautiful, and I love it.
I love it so much that I thought it was time to devote a blog post to ALL THINGS FALL. But seriously, who else just re-started watching the Gilmore Girls?!?!
Brit’s Fall Playlist
I think first things first — you need to be listening to fally music while you read this. I made a BRAND NEW list just for you guys. It’s a very chill, driving at twilight with leaves falling down vibe, and I think you’re going to love it.
It’s on Spotify, and you don’t need to have the paid version or anything to listen to it.

Best Fall Movies
There’s a few movies that you MUST put on your fall lineup if you haven’t yet. Please let me know in the comments if I missed any, because I’m always looking for more!
Dan In Real Life (one of my fave movies too)
You’ve Got Mail (I never realized how fally this was til last year)
Casper (who else had a mad crunch on Devon Sawa?
Autumn in New York (sad tho!)
October Sky
Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin (I might be wearing that sweatshirt RN)
Gilmore Girls (technically a show, but so festive ON NETFLIX)
Also where are my Grey’s Anatomy fans? — I actually put a throwback Grey’s song on the playlist and that show will ALWAYS remind me of fall.
Best Fall Smells
My favorite fall candle scents are made by my best friend’s company Craft + Foster in San Diego. They are not your typical basic fall smells… INCREDIBLE!
Favorite Gluten Free Fall Recipes
Let’s talk about food for a second. Here are some fall
Gluten free Pumpkin Bread. This recipe from Against All Grain has been a staple in my house for years! I add mini chocolate chips, and highly suggest it! (grain free/dairy free with options for nut free)
Gluten Free Cranberry Crumb Bars These are SO GOOD. Make them every fall/winter season.
Crockpot GF/Vegan Pasta Fagioli “Italian Chili” (A yours truly recipe. I make this literally every week, it’s so easy and tastes just like Olive Garden)
Bacon-Apple Chicken Burgers with Maple Cranberry sauce. I’ve made this Paleo Mom recipe for years now, and it never gets old!
Creamy Chicken or Turkey Wild Rice Soup. Simply sub gf flour for regular, vegan butter for regular, and coconut milk for half and half to make this gluten and dairy free!
Store Bought Goodies:
Alexia Savory Stuffing is the BEST gluten free stuffing I’ve ever tried, perfect for Thanksgiving.
Simple Mills Pumpkin muffin mix is awesome—also recommend their crunchy cinnamon cookies.
Sprouted Organic Pumpkin Seeds from Go Raw.
Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk Cold Brew (available in stores) and Califia Farms Pumpkin Spice Creamer.
Pacific Organic Whole Cranberry Sauce. Great sub for all that crap you get in the can!
Fall Green Beauty Picks
NAILS. You all know by now what a Zoya nail polish fan I am.
Brit’s tip: wait for the Black Friday sale where they are like 70% off and stock up for the whole year!! I find these colors work for whatever fall look I’m trying to do. These colors are: Rekha, Kelly, and Lydia.
LIPS. Every time I wear these lipstick colors, I get asked what they are. Truth be told, I got them free in the Sephora birthday gift set, but I’m obsessed with Bite Beauty, so I was into it.
The left is one of their Matte Velvet lip crayons in Glace and the right is one of their Amuse Bouche lipsticks in Chai. I’ve raved about Bite lip products before in this post.
I’m an idiot and these swatches are flipped, but the left is Chai and the right is Glace.
EYES. I recently did a full review of this new Honeybee Gardens Nude Renaissance palette on my Instagram. It is bomb, and the colors just couldn’t be more in the FALL WHEELHOUSE. It’s so hard to find good green eyeshadows, don’t get me started on the graveyard of products I have in my drawer.
